Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has shaped a committee comprising members of the governing coalition to carry negotiations with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The choice follows a proposal by the Speaker of the Nationwide Meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, in response to PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar’s request for initiating talks.
The committee consists of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Inside Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Speaker of the Nationwide Meeting Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Federal Minister Naveed Qamar, MQM chief Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aleem Khan, and Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
On the earlier night time, Barrister Gohar had approached the Speaker, urging him to play a task in facilitating discussions between the federal government and PTI.
Responding to the initiative, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif permitted the formation of the committee, emphasizing the significance of prioritizing nationwide safety and collective curiosity throughout the negotiations.
Prime Minister Sharif expressed hope that these talks would result in a decision that upholds the nation’s stability and integrity. “Pakistan’s survival ensures our survival. I admire the Speaker’s efforts on this regard,” he said.
Negotiations between the federal government and PTI are anticipated to start throughout the subsequent 12 hours, with the committee figuring out the situation and schedule.
Officers anticipate a shift in PTI’s stance, and it’s believed that the announcement of talks might result in the dissolution of the civil disobedience motion.
