In a report that was released early this week, the foreign office has assured the Pakistani community that all Pakistani students in Dhaka are safe and have relocated to a safer hostel campus due to this unrest in Bangladesh.
A person to interview a foreign office clarified that the purpose is to continue to be in touch with the students. Recently the Deputy High Commissioner came to Chittagong for students there. The spokesperson also revealed that accommodation has also been arranged for the students, and the High Commission, the Ambassador’s residence, and some secure places.
This update will require testing based on growing violent protests in Bangladesh regarding the government job quota system. Some of these protests have harmed beyond one hundred deaths, students included, causing the government to declare a state of curfew and resort to using the military to enforce law and order. This statement has been issued to calm down the families and the public, regarding the predicament of Pakistani students during this time of unrest in Bangladesh.
