Rebecca Ferguson, known for her roles in “Dune” and “Mission: It has, therefore, likely come as a surprise to many that the word “Impossible,” has joined the list of casts in Netflix’s “Peaky Blinder,” movie. She will be co-starring with Cillian Murphy, who portrays the role of Tommy Shelby head of the Birmingham gang. Specificities of Ferguson’s position are still a mystery.
A few months later Netflix decided on the “Peaky Blinders” film, thus, returning Murphy to the series. Tom Harper is expected to direct the film while the writing credential will be in the hands of Steven Knight who created the series. Mandabach, Knight, Murphy, and Heeley are selected as the producers of the series, while Harper, Kosse, Glazebrook, Warren, and Mason execute the show. The movie is a BBC Film with a production arrangement. Knight has suggested that the storyline will be set in World War Two and shooting is planned for the year 2012.
Ferguson recently reprised her role as Lady Jessica in “Dune: Part Two,” and grossed $712 million worldwide. She has also starred alongside Tom Cruise in three “Mission: ’Impossible’ films, such as Dead Reckoning – Part One Last film, she recently wrapped Mercy, a sci-fi thriller starring Chris Pratt.
Apart from her film roles, Ferguson is also announced to appear in the new Netflix movie by Kathryn Bigelow and is still the head of the Apple TV+ drama ‘Silo’ and serves as its executive producer as well. Next year the second season of “Silo” is going to start and Ferguson will be present at the Comic-Con promoting the show.
