Bushra Bibi provided details of 12 cases

Bushra Bibi’s Lahore High Court Petition Disposed of Today

On Bushra Bibi’s petition, Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of the Lahore High Court (LHC) clarified that the court previously received the information regarding her legal issues as and when the details were sought from the office of the focal person.

The petition also sought details on any new or outstanding detention order, notice, inquiry, and FIR launched against Bushra Bibi and prayed for a ‘stay order’ not to arrest her until she could seek legal remedy. The police affirmed the existence of 12 incidents in a police report that was tabled in the court, however, the lawyer for the petitioner had earlier been made aware of only 11 of such instances.

As far as other details were concerned then Justice Sheikh made it clear that all the seeks and asks of the counsel have been placed on record and he directed the counsel to seek bail in the course of law. The assistant advocate general then confirmed that all the necessary information was brought to light and thus the pee removed the petition.

This petition was filed by Sardar Latif Khan Khosa and the provincial government, the IGP Punjab, the anti-corruption DIG, and the CTD DIG of the FIA cybercrime wing are respondents.
