A third child succumbed on Tuesday to an axe rampage in a pop-cum-nerd dress-up party linked to Taylor Swift in northern England thus prompting PM Keir Starmer to say that the appalling incident ‘draws a nerve’ with the whole nation.
Starmer was among contingents of people to visit the scene of the Monday knife incident where five children and two adults were critically injured in Southport near Liverpool. Three other children were injured.
Laying flowers with hundreds of other wreaths, Starmer thanked emergency workers who responded to the stabbing spree and said: They hoped to meet with the minister, saying that they came here to pay their respects to the victims and families who are going through raw pain and grief that most of us cannot even comprehend — I can’t, being a dad myself.
