Two children killed in school van shooting in Attock

2 kids were killed and many more injured when a school van was targeted in Dheri Kot, Attock on Thursday. All the victims of the shooting were children, aged from five to ten years old, and five of them were injured. These were rushed to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for treatment.

First-hand accounts indicated that the attackers’ decision to attack the van was most likely linked to a personal grudge against the driver, the Attock District Police Officer (DPO) Sardar Ghayas Gul said.

In the recent incident,, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz condemned the incident and urged the Rawalpindi commissioner to brief her at the earliest. She also called for the best treatment of the injured children.

The Incident has also been addressed by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and he has requested the report from RPO Rawalpindi. He told the DPO of Attock that the culprits must be brought into custody immediately.

Mod The police forensic teams are still collecting exhibits at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. The police have also assured the families of the victims that justice will be done soon.
