FIA information case in opposition to Imran Riaz over anti-judiciary marketing campaign on social media

The Federal Investigation Company (FIA) has registered a case in opposition to journalist and YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan for allegedly operating an anti-judiciary marketing campaign on social media, Categorical Information reported on Wednesday.

The case was filed by the FIA Cyber Crime Circle in Islamabad, naming seven people, together with Imran Riaz, for his or her involvement within the on-line marketing campaign. The others named within the case are Mujahid Ali Shah, Allah Nawaz Khan, Sohail Ahmed, Umar Sadiq, Sadiq Anjum, Musadiq Abbasi, and Tariq Saleem.

The criticism was lodged by Ahmad Sadiq Khan, a resident of G-14 Islamabad, underneath the Prevention of Digital Crimes Act (PECA) Part 20 for “violation of privateness,” together with sections referring to issuing threats and abetment.

Sources point out that the arrests of these named within the case are imminent. Additionally it is speculated that comparable instances could also be filed in opposition to different vloggers and YouTubers for his or her involvement in such campaigns.
