ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has appointed Justice Yahya Afridi as the following Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), succeeding the present CJP, Qazi Faez Isa.
Justice Afridi will serve a hard and fast three-year time period beginning October 26, in response to a press release issued from the Aiwan-e-Sadar on Wednesday morning.
The appointment was made in accordance with Articles 175A(3), 177, and 179 of the Structure, with Justice Afridi set to take the oath of workplace on October 26, the assertion added.
