On Friday thereby displaying its willingness to cooperate with Bangladesh, China endorsed the new interim Bangladeshi government.
Quoting a China’s foreign ministry spokesman, an emissary for China doubled saying, “We have noted the new interim government in Bangladesh and we support the development. ”
Literally, on Thursday, Muhammad Yunus, who was the receiver of the Nobel Peace Prize, became the interim chief of Bangladesh. After the student uprising which brought an end to the 15-year rule of CPB under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he pledged to assist in the direction of moving the country back to democracy.
Sheikh Hasina, who was said to have partaken in several human rights abuses, the imprisoned by political opposites had to flee to India on Monday due to angry demonstrations in Dhaka.
China stressed that China understands Bangladesh’s decisions and always adheres to the foreign policy that China does not interfere in other affairs. The foreign ministry also added that China highly appreciates the relationship with Bangladesh and desires to intensify the collaboration of the two countries.
