KARACHI: A routine tax inspection took an sudden flip within the port metropolis when Federal Board of Income (FBR) officers had been held captive by workers members at a marriage corridor on Dalmia Street.

Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Hamza stated that the marriage corridor was suspected of under-reporting its earnings, main the FBR to provoke an inspection.

Through the investigation into alleged earnings discrepancies, the FBR crew was detained by the corridor’s staff.

Upon arrival, the FBR officers stated, the crew met with sudden resistance from the workers, who held the officers towards their will.
