Govt establishments owe Rs311b to TCP, PAC instructed

In a startling revelation, the PAC was knowledgeable that varied authorities establishments owe Rs311 billion to the Buying and selling Company of Pakistan (TCP), with Rs93 billion in principal and Rs218 billion in curiosity but to be recovered.

The PAC session, chaired by Junaid Akbar Khan, convened final Wednesday to scrutinise monetary irregularities, unlawful recruitments and encroachments on state-owned properties.

Expressing displeasure over Rs275 million from the Export Improvement Fund (EDF) remaining unused for the previous 5 years, the PAC chairman questioned why funds meant for college kids’ coaching had not been utilised and directed an inquiry into the matter.
