KARACHI: Muzaffar Iqbal, 17, tragically misplaced his life throughout a theft in Karachi on Wednesday morning.
The incident passed off in Korangi’s Janjal Pura Goth, highlighting the alarming surge in robbery-related murders within the metropolis. This marks the third fatality in such incidents since January 1, 2025.
SSP Korangi Kamran Khan reported that the incident occurred as 4 robbers fled the scene after looting a home at daybreak.
Muzaffar, returning house after Fajr prayers, raised an alarm. In response, the robbers opened fireplace, killing {the teenager} on the spot.
The robbers had simply looted a home within the sufferer’s neighbourhood, SSP Korangi added. Following the incident, the SHO of Zaman City and the native checkpoint in-charge have been suspended, in keeping with SSP Korangi.
This deadly capturing follows two different theft resistance deaths reported earlier this month. On January 9, a citizen named Arif was shot lifeless throughout a theft at Ghaghar Phatak in Metal City.
Earlier, on January 3, Sahil Masih was killed by robbers in Korangi’s Zaman City.
