Lifesaving Flight: Pakistan’s First Air Ambulance Takes to the Skies!

A rescue air ambulance was also for the first time transferred a patient, within an initiative taken by the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

On Sunday, Halima Bibi, a 40 years of age woman from Mianwali who had become paralyzed after a fall, was shifted by helicopter to Rawalpindi. Seeing her critical condition, the district headquarters hospital Mianwali has a surgeon who suggested transferring her to a more advanced hospital.

This operation, based on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif Halima Bibi was shifted by air ambulance within the critical ‘golden hour’ for the said operation where Dr. Raza Nasir operated the surgery. This could be counted as one of the most significant milestones of the country’s medical rescue services.

Thus, Halima Bibi’s family could hardly find words to thank everyone, especially Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who helped them: “You have been an angel for us,” the woman said.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of the work saying, “Quality and timely health care for every citizen of Punjab is our right and it will be provided. ” On x (now Twitter), she said, “In the light of Nawaz Sharif’s directions, yet another promise made to the people of Punjab has been fulfilled. Pakistan has initiated the first Air Ambulance services and Fast Track rescue and transfer of the most critical patients.

Maryam Nawaz also requested the nation to pray for the speedy recovery of Halima Bibi and assured her to remove the factor causing trouble for every single soul of this country.
