Main sabotage plot foiled in Rawalpindi as CTD neutralises three terrorists

Safety forces averted a serious sabotage bid in Rawalpindi as three militants from Fitna-al-Khawarij had been killed throughout a fierce change of gunfire with the Counter-Terrorism Division (CTD) personnel.

The operation, based mostly on intelligence experiences, came about close to Chakri in Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Punjab police CTD launched an IBO to arrest the terrorists, a CTD spokesperson stated, including that throughout the raid, the militants opened fireplace on the CTD staff.

Safety forces’ operation comes after an alert issued by the Nationwide Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) about potential terrorist actions by Fitna al-Khawarij.

Within the alert, the authority had warned of potential terrorist actions by Fitna al-Khawarij throughout the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest scheduled for November 24. NACTA cautioned that the terrorist group may goal main cities.

Hours in the past, the safety forces killed three terrorists in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 21-22, based on an announcement issued by the Inter-Providers Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.

In keeping with the army’s media wing, an IBO was performed by the forces within the Bara space of the Khyber district. Throughout the operation, troops successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, resultantly killing two militants — Haqyar Afridi also referred to as Khyberay and Gulla Jan.

“In one other incident, the motion of a bunch of Khwarij, who had been making an attempt to infiltrate by the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the safety forces in South Waziristan District,” stated the ISPR.

The report recorded 722 deaths and 615 accidents in 328 incidents, with KP and Balochistan accounting for 97% of fatalities.
