Meteor lights up Karachi’s night time sky

KARACHI: In a charming celestial show, a meteor lit up the night time sky over Karachi throughout the early hours of Monday, leaving residents surprised.

Observers witnessed the spectacular celestial phenomenon at roughly 2:43 am, resulting in a flurry of pleasure as movies of the house rock flooded social media.

This occasion, also known as a taking pictures star, has drawn consideration to the presence of thousands and thousands of meteoroids orbiting Earth.

In keeping with consultants, such meteor sightings happen often, including to the fun of stargazing.

In the meantime, astronomers revealed that these objects are fragments of asteroids that ignite upon getting into the Earth’s environment as a consequence of friction with air.

The Nationwide Aeronautics and Area Administration (Nasa), an area analysis company based mostly in the US, estimated that between 100 and 300 tonnes of house particles, largely the scale of sand grains, descend on Earth day by day.
