The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Saturday that Pakistan had not seen the Muharram-ul-Haram moon. As a result, Youm-e-Ashura is scheduled for July 17, 2024. The committee chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, made the announcement at a press conference in Quetta that Muharram will begin on July 8, 2024. None of the provincial zonal crescent sighting committees reported any moon sighting evidence.
