The Pakistani Federal Minister for Privatization, Board of Investment, and Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov to deliberate on issues related to mutual concern and general improvement of bilateral relations.
While talking to each other, both dignitaries discussed the forthcoming business forum that was planned for September 16 in Baku Azerbaijan. Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said he is looking forward to the event and underlined that the forum would be an ideal platform to increase the business interaction between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He stressed that through the forum it is possible to enhance investment and advance cooperation in different fields with the participation of both countries.
In response, the federal minister mentioned that there could be the possibility of cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in food, IT, health,, and agriculture sectors as well as manpower. He also said that investment and economic cooperation of Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey can change the speeding car of the region.
Pakistan Business Forum was also appreciated by Abdul Aleem Khan highlighting that it helps to expand cooperation in Azerbaijan not only but in other Central Asian countries too. He considers this environment to be important to the region’s advancement and well-being.
Having discussed the outcomes of the recent meeting held with the representatives of the partner country, it was decided that Federal Ministers Abdul Aleem Khan and Jam Kamal Khan would visit Baku on September 16 as head of the Pakistani delegation at the Business Forum.
Minister Farhadov appreciated the intervention of the Pakistani ministers and showed Azerbaijan’s interest in investing in Pakistani LNG, urea power,, and other sectors. He assured that the private sector of Azerbaijan would be more engaged in these initiatives and thus a new era of economic cooperation between the two countries.
