Pakistan Navy Celebrates Navy Day, Honours Martyrs’ Families

The Pakistan Navy marked Navy Day on Sunday with a heartfelt ceremony in Karachi, paying tribute to the families of martyrs. Held at the Pakistan Navy unit, PNS Bahadur, the event was simple yet meaningful, with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori serving as the chief guest.

During his speech, Governor Tessori praised the bravery and dedication of Pakistan Navy veterans and martyrs, especially during the 1965 war. He noted that their courageous acts continue to inspire not only the nation but also people worldwide.

He paid special tribute to the mothers who selflessly sent their sons to defend the country, stating that the nation owes them a great debt of gratitude. He also spoke highly of Vice Admiral Ahmad Tasnim, a two-time recipient of the Tamgha-i-Shujaat, calling him a true hero of the nation.

Earlier, Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem expressed his appreciation to Governor Tessori for joining the martyrs’ families on this important occasion. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Navy remains a combat-ready force, fully committed to protecting the country’s maritime borders.

The ceremony concluded with Governor Tessori meeting the families of the martyrs, personally acknowledging their immense sacrifices for the nation.
