Pakistan Targets Asia Cup Glory Under Nida Dar’s Leadership

The Indian women’s cricket team is ready for the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 in Sri Lanka, they also completed a training camp in Karachi from July 5-16.

The eight teams tournament will be played from 19th to 28th of JulyVenue: Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. The teams are split into two groups: Group A has Pakistan, India, Nepal, and UAE within it, and Group B has Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The four teams of each group will play in the knockout stages starting with the two semi-finalist teams on July 24 and 25 and the final teams on July 28.

Pakistan was due to begin against India, then Nepal on 21st July, and then against UAE on 23rd July. At the latest T20 ACC Women’s Asia Cup in October 2022 in Sylhet, Bangladesh, Pakistan reached the semifinals but was narrowly defeated by Sri Lanka by one run.

Captain Nida Dar is hopeful saying, “As a captain I want to give my best, we have worked really hard during the camp to improve our flaws we want to play fearless cricket here and want to be positive, we are here to adapt according to the conditions. ”

The management of the PCB has also not been spared; it has also done some rearrangements in the management of the team. The new head coach appointed in the Pakistan team is Muhammad Wasim, while Junaid Khan is the new assistant coach, and Abdur Rehman is the spin-bowling coach.
