The session, chaired by Presiding Officer Abdul Qadir Patel, mentioned the rising considerations over the restricted issuance of UAE visas for Pakistani residents. In the course of the query hour, it was disclosed that a number of people had submitted solid paperwork of their visa purposes.
The Ministry of Overseas Affairs defined that some Pakistani staff had overstayed their visas, whereas others had been concerned in political and prison actions. In response, Overseas Minister Senator Ishaq Dar acknowledged in a written reply that UAE authorities had knowledgeable Pakistan that there have been no formal visa restrictions on Pakistani residents. He added that the UAE had launched a five-year visa scheme, which requires candidates to offer round-trip tickets, resort bookings, proof of property possession, and a pre-payment of three,000 dirhams.
