PCB seeks pitch-perfect solution: Australian curator to revamp Pakistan surfaces

On Monday, Pakistan’s cricket board declared the arrangement of Australian pitch guardian Tony Trimming to further develop the nation’s playing surfaces, following a huge analysis in late Test matches.

With Pakistan set to have the Worldwide Cricket Gathering’s (ICC) Champions Prize from February 19 to Walk 9 one year from now, Trimming has been recruited on a two-year agreement as the new head custodian. He will regulate the planning of pitches for five impending home Tests.

Sewing’s liabilities include pitch arrangements for two Tests against Bangladesh for Rawalpindi on August 21 and in Karachi on August 30, as well as three Tests against Britain in October.

The Rawalpindi arena recently got less than ideal evaluations after high-scoring Tests against Australia in 2022 and Britain in 2021. Australian skipper Pat Cummins commented that the pitch “didn’t give a fair challenge,” while Steve Smith referred to it as “harmless.”

Fixing brings north of forty years of involvement and has recently filled in as the ICC’s head guardian for foundations.
