Sindh Premier Cricket League Plans Take Shape

An organized meeting was conducted on Sunday in Mahar House Karachi in which Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, Sindh Premier Cricket League (SPCL). The main issues of discussion included the formation of the Sindh Premier League focusing talent of cricket in Sindh and enhancing the facilities of cricket in Sindh.

The Sindh government and the SPCL delegation agreed to work together in preparing cricket stadiums, which may include Ground Karachi or any the Ground Hyderabad. Minister Mahar added that the final word regarding the SPCA’s hosting, either in Qatar or in Sindh, would be taken only after consultation with the CM of Sindh. It ranges from top-class grounds in Karachi to Niaz Stadium of Hyderabad, he categorically said.

The Minister also said that the league could provide good opportunities for young cricketers in Sindh to come forward and perform. The Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab also vowed his support to the league while commending the league for helping cricket talent in the province.

They once again expressed the league’s commitments in terms of the encouragement of the youth as well as stressing the fact that Sindh holds great potential for cricket.
