RAWALPINDI: As intense smog continues to choke residents throughout Punjab, the provincial authorities on Tuesday ordered the closure of private and non-private colleges and a shift to on-line courses in 5 extra divisions.

“All the academic establishments, together with tuition centres (public/non-public as much as Increased Secondary Degree (twelfth Grade/ A-level) shall stay closed and can shift to on-line mode with impact from November 13, 2024 (Wednesday) inside the territorial jurisdictions of DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sargodha and Rawalpindi Divisions as nicely until November 17, 2024,” learn the notification issued by the Environmental Safety Company (EPA).
