The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Thursday the potential new designs for currency notes across all denominations, as part of a public art competition, according to ARY News.
The SBP held an art competition inviting local artists to submit their designs for the new banknotes. After a careful review, the central bank revealed the shortlisted designs created by talented citizens.

In a statement, the SBP expressed its gratitude to the local artists and designers, recognizing their creativity in this important project. The designs were selected after a thorough evaluation by a committee of experts from various fields.
While the shortlisted designs reflect local talent, they are still considered suggestive. International designers, working with SBP officials, will finalize the designs for the new currency series. These global experts will use the local designs for inspiration, but will also apply their own creative ideas.
The SBP is committed to ensuring that the new currency notes highlight Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and forward-thinking vision. The winners of the competition will be awarded prize money in recognition of their contributions to this national effort.
