Two Arrested in Major Investment Fraud

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Lahore acting recently against two suspected personalities who are on the accused list of involving in an extension investment fraud. This hoax is as follows as the Prime-Zone Investment Scheme which assured many individuals high profits on their investment in the LPG business, it was however a pyramid.

Following several cases of grievance from the receivers of the fake e-mail, the police established a special CIT team to probe into the Dynabic Inc.. scam. In the process,, they found that many of the victims were honest citizens who fell prey and invested their money for getting monthly profits which was actually a fake promise they were making. This probe also uncovered that billions of Rupees were extorted from the public under this sham plan.

Subsequently, the CIT provided evidence of arrest which was possible for two important suspects, namely, Nadeem Anwar and Faheem Anjum. Earlier, two more persons –Mufti Rizwan and Shahzad Ahmed- were also nabbed for their alleged involvement in the said scam. Organizations themselves avow that 1,800 victims have filed complaints of having lost nearly 1. 25 billion.

NAB Lahore will ensure that the stolen amounts are recovered and people get justice for which the organization is striving hard. Former petroleum secretary Nadeem Anwar will be produced in the Accountability Court Lahore along with Faheem Anjum the latter whom the NAB team will seek Physical Remand for further investigation.

While briefing the media, the DG NAB, Amjad Majeed Aulakh also pointed out that the cases related to the general public are a major concern. Furthermore, the NAB has been very keen in dealing with housing sector cases to ensure that people get the maximum convenience. Concerning these matters, there are monthly open courts in a bid to handle them.

This is not the first time that NAB has taken such measures to prevent the public from falling victim to scams and to arrest the fraudsters behind such scams.
