On Friday morning more precisely in the early hours of the day, a bus broke through the highway bridge near Ankara this sad incident led to the death of nine people, and the other 26 were seriously injured according to the report by the Ankara region governor.
The accident took place at 5:00 Am local time, 0200 GMT, TRT public television reported. The bus was coming from Eskisehir – this is the city which is situated a bit West from Ankara.
The governor, Vasip Sahin also informed the fact that it appeared as if the driver may have dozed off for there was no indication that he tried to apply the break.
There has been a launched of an investigation concerning the occurrence.
Accidents involving buses are quite often in Turkey. Such as an accident that happened in May where a bus, two cars, and a truck crashed on the motorway near Mersin province causing the death of 10 and 40 people injured.
